Standard frame depths are 4-inch, 7-inch and 10-inch, with deeper custom options available. Every standard kit arrives prewired — LEDs mounted inside the frame before it ships. Current standard pricing per foot of frame length: 4-inch wide frame — $35 per foot (our hottest seller), 7-inch wide frame — $40 per foot, and 10-inch wide frame — $50 per foot. Every kit is pre-lit with LEDs mounted inside the aluminum sign cabinet and includes a 12-volt power supply and wiring hardware. Ask about color choices — prices subject to change without notice.

Finish Options & How Your Kit Ships
Standard finish is high-gloss anodized mill finish. Optional coated colors are available as an add-on — black is the standard coated color.
Shipping: about 95% of kits ship FedEx Ground, in boxes, not on a freight pallet. The frame is cut into four sections — six with splice joints on larger kits — specifically so package dimensions stay inside ground limits. Power supply and hardware are packed in with the sections, and one person can manage the boxes.
Crated, Banded, Out The Door
Your kit leaves our shop packed the way it needs to travel: frame sections nested and protected, retainers and hardware secured, the whole bundle banded to a crate and staged in the shipping lane.
Nothing rattles around loose in the box. When it lands at your door it's still a kit — ready to lay out and assemble.
Sign Kit FAQ
Are the kits UL listed?
No. DIY Sign Guy cannot UL list a DIY kit. Please check with your local township and follow all applicable sign, zoning, electrical, inspection and installation guidelines before placing your order.
Can the same frame be double-sided?
Yes. The same frame can support a single-sided or double-sided configuration.
How is a big sign shipped?
In boxes, by FedEx Ground, for roughly 95% of kits. The frame is cut into four sections — six with splice joints on larger kits — so the packages stay inside ground shipping limits, with the power supply and hardware packed in alongside. Freight is only used when a cabinet is too long to splice down, when a pole or pylon project has structural parts that will not box, or when several signs are ordered at once and palletizing is cheaper — and it is priced that way in your written quote up front.
